The Embassy introduces you to another successful Austrian in the U.S., Michael Radeczki. Michael first recognized his aptitude and love for baking while helping his mother make exceptional desserts during his childhood years.
Trained as a pastry chef in Vienna, Michael came to the U.S. in 1976 and currently resides on the beautiful island of Kauai in Hawaii. In 1987, Michael started up his own company, Michael’s Cookies which provides ready-to-bake frozen cookie dough to elite purveyors throughout the US. Today, Michael's offers more than 20 premium flavors served by some of the hospitality industry's most recognized names, including Fairmont, Hyatt, Marriott, Sheraton and Ritz Carlton, to name just a few.
Since opening its doors, Michael's Cookies has become a recognized hallmark in the hospitality industry, capturing First Place for Best Product in Outstanding Food Service at the National Association for Specialty Foods New York Trade Show and the American Taste Award conferred by the American Tasting Institute of San Francisco.
