Austrian MBA students visit D.C.

On July 19, Klaus Hofstadler, Head of the Commercial Section at the Embassy of Austria, welcomed a group of nine MBA students from the LIMAK Austrian Business School to a two-day exploration trip through the nation’s capital. Following a tight schedule the group had the opportunity to discover the most important institutions in D.C. The first day marked a visit to the Pentagon, the Arlington National Cemetery, the World Bank and finally the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. On their second day, the students had the opportunity to see the U.S. Capitol, the International Monetary Fund and the U.S. Department of State. On top of the various excursions, the group had the opportunity to discuss the current political and financial situation of the U.S. with Austrian Finance Attaché Ms. Eva-Maria Liebmann and Mr. Drew Cannon, Head of the Administration of the U.S. Capitol. Before leaving D.C. for a two-week academic program at Emory University in Atlanta, the students also met with Ambassador Manz at the Embassy to discuss recent events.
