Conference | Austria Connect 2013

AUSTRIA CONNECT, the 6th Annual Conference for Executives of Austrian Subsidiaries in the United States, organized by the Austrian Trade Commissions in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. took place from September 26-27, 2013. For the first time since its inception, the conference, which focused on Technology and Enterprise, was held in Los Angeles.

Austrian direct investment in the U.S. amounts to approximately 7.15 billion US-Dollars and increased between 2006 and 2012 by almost 100 percent. There are approximately 200 subsidiaries of Austrian Companies in the US along with 500-600 smaller investments, mainly in sales and distribution. Austrian companies employ approximately 31,000 people in the USA. In the past AUSTRIA CONNECT was held in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Chicago and New York.
