4th Annual Botstiber Lecture on Austrian-American Affairs

On June 8, 2012, the Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies, in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum Washington, presented the fourth annual Botstiber Lecture on Austrian-American Affairs, which took place at the Austrian Embassy in Washington D.C.

This year's lecture, which focused on “The US and Europe in a Changing Global Context” was given by Austrian diplomat Wolfgang Petritsch, currently Austria’s Ambassador to the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) in Paris. Mr. Petritsch also currently serves as Chair of the European Cultural Foundation (ECF), Amsterdam; the Center for European Integration Strategies (CEIS), Geneva; the Herbert C. Kelman Institute for Interactive Conflict Transformation (KIIC), Vienna and the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation, Vienna.

In 2006, Mr. Petritsch received the European Human Rights Award, in Strasbourg. The lecture was followed by a Q&A as well as a wine and cheese reception.
