Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger delivered a talk titled “Present Challenges: an Austrian Perspective” at Johns Hopkins University’s Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C. on Friday, October 29, 2010.  As states across the European Union grapple with issues of economic downturn, debts and deficit, challenges to the Euro, migration, and the implementation of the EU’s Lisbon Treaty, the Foreign Minister offered his views on overcoming these challenges, seen from the perspective of Austria. The talk was moderated by Ambassador Kurt Volker, Senior Fellow and Managing Director, Center for Transatlantic Relations.
